And what better to clean with then using sage for cleansing your home! Usually when we talk about sage cleansing, we are referring to burning sage or smudge sticks for how to remove negative energy from your home. This time, we have a found a foolproof formula for an all-purpose sage cleansing spray, to clean your countertops and bathrooms and more!

Sage is one of the oldest and most well-known herbs for removing and clearing out negative energy from both objects and an environment. Besides removing negative energy, cleansing with sage helps to neutralize the energy of the space, relieving your worries, opening your mind and removing negative thoughts to harmonize your body. When you are ready to give your home a thorough energy cleansing, try using this all-purpose spray to clean all the surfaces in your home, and then burn a smudge stick to clear the energy as well.

Here are the ingredients you will need for Sage Cleansing Spray:

  • Spray Bottle: For DIY cleaning products, we like to reuse bottles from a previous cleaner—just make sure you thoroughly rinse out whatever was in it before.
  • Warm Water
  • White Vinegar
  • Isopropyl Alcohol
  • Dish Soap
  • Fresh Sage

Put your fresh sage leaves in the bottom of your bottle and muddle them with a wooden spoon handle. You can also just twist them up or squeeze them in your hand before placing them in the bottle. This activates the leaves to product their natural oils. Make sure your sage leaves are as fresh as can be to get as much of their aroma as possible. The sage will permeate the mixture with its oils. It not only helps to cut the scent of the vinegar and alcohol, but Sage oil also acts as a natural antibacterial component. For the mixture, you will want to add 1-part warm water, 1-part vinegar and ½-part alcohol to your spray bottle. Add one drop of dish soap and shake up your mixture. And voila: all-purpose sage cleansing spray! DIY cleaning products have never been easier.

After you are finished giving all the surfaces in your home a good cleaning, make sure to do an energy cleansing by burning a few smudge sticks to remove negative energy! To learn more about doing this, check out our blog post, How To Remove Negative Energy From Your Home.
