Vesuvianite, also referred to as Idocrase, was originally found on Mt. Vesuvius, the famous volcano in Italy, which erupted violently during the Roman Empire in 79 AR, and destroyed the city of Pompeii. Vesuvianite represents cooperative efforts, and is therefore a wonderful stone to present to newlyweds, business associates, friends and acquaintances.
Vesuvianite is strongly connected with the heart chakra, and helps you to access your higher self and strengthens your connection with the energy of love. To activate your crystal, sit quietly, holding your crystal in both hands. Breathe in the highest white light and visualize your intention for your crystal. State your intention aloud. Your crystal is listening and now ready to use.
Place your crystal in your sacred space, on your office desk, in your bedroom, or in a place that you will see often to be reminded of your intention. You can also carry your crystal with you or incorporate it into your meditation.

Cleansing Your Crystal:
Your gemstones will work best when they are cleared and cleansed. So, cleanse and activate them often! Here are some recommended ways to cleanse your crystal:
1. Bury your crystal in the Earth’s soil for 24 hours.
2. Place your crystal outside under the sun or full moon for at least 4 hours.
3. Immerse your crystal in the smoke of a burning Sage stick, Frankincense, Copal or Palo Santo stick until it begins to radiate.
