Rose Water Benefits & Love Energy

Rose Water Benefits

I often make my own Rose Water to use in my bath to open my heart to the energy of love. However, the Rose Water benefits have been highly valued since ancient times. Its healing properties are beneficial on both a physical and mental level, leading many civilizations to use it in their spiritual rituals. Cleopatra used rose oil as an aphrodisiac some 3000 years ago. She used to take a rose bath in rose petals and milk. It is believed that the ancient civilizations, such as Babylonia, used rose oil and rose water in medicines and rituals. In India, it was used in cuisine for the royal family. Ancient Rome used rose water for its antiseptic properties. During the Middle Ages, it was used for stress and depression. The ancient Chinese used Rosewater to balance the energies in their environment.

Rose Water is highly beneficial to tone and nourish the skin.  Rose water benefits also include improving blood circulation—specifically when placed on the scalp—and stimulating hair growth. Some people use it to soothe tired and fatigued eyes, rinsing their eyes with it before they head to bed. The fragrance of Rose Water helps to lift and elevate your mood. It is said to bring emotional strength and assists in improving your ability to love.  Whatever your intention may be, cleansing yourself and your home with rose water is a simple and effective way to refresh your energy.

You can make your own Rose Water to experience the rose water benefits in your own home! Follow these steps and learn how to make rose water:

  1. You will first need some rose petals. Pick some fresh rose petals, and then rinse them off with fresh water OR use Roses that have been placed on an altar for a week and have been infused with your prayers and intentions.
  2. Place your petals in a glass container—I like to use a large mason jar.
  3. Add Rose quartz stones and other crystals for love on top of your rose petals to energetically amplify your rose water with more love energy and blessings.
  4. Allow the water to “brew” for several days. I like to surround my water with healing crystals, like Rose Quartz, Selenite crystals, Clear Quartz Stones and any other crystals for love, to create a space radiating with love energy.
  5. Strain the water and pour it into a spray bottle or small jar so that you can use it based on your needs.

How to Make Rose WaterAfter you have finished creating your Rose Water, you can then add the rose petals to a bath if you want. Add water to your bath and place the rose petals over your heart. You will feel the love energy and it will help to open your heart chakra.

Another way for how to make rose water is to add water and the rose petals to a large pot of distilled water. Cover the pot with a lid and boil on a low flame. Allow the water to steam until the water has turned the color of a rose petal.  Strain the water and leave it until it cools down. Then pour it into your container of choice and begin using.

Love is the most powerful energy of all. When you radiate love, it makes yourself, as well as anyone around you, feel happy and good about themselves. Roses are symbolic of love and radiate vibrations of love. Combining them with the love vibrations of crystals only strengthens the energy, surrounding you in a “bubble” of love. Our Love is in the Air Crystals combine the energies of Rose Quartz, Pink Aventurine and Green Jade to fill your life and home with the energy of love. A Rose Quartz quartz point is also one of the most powerful crystals to fill your home with love energy. Wear healing crystal jewelry, made with the most powerful crystals for love, everyday to ensure that your heart is open to all types of love–love of yourself, love for your partner, love for your children, family, community, the love of absolutely everything on our Earth. Love connects us all.

Set your intention with your rose water—and also your love crystals—and feel the healing energies and wisdom of all the ancient civilizations surround you. Healer heal thyself.

Your article is so true and so happy and user friendly! On my last Kundalini Yoga/Ayuvedic retreat, I was taught about the rose water eye bath and have been doing it whenev my eyes feel tired or dry from this very vata season. Especially if I get autumn allergies, it helps clear the air. Thank you for sharing! I loved.

Should it be refridgerated after it is made? If not, how long is it good for?

Can you add pure rose essential oil to your rose water with the components you mentioned?

This would make a lovely gift too! You can present it in the mason jar with a pink ribbon and tie around one of your charms or pouch of love crystals, etc. and put the Rose Quart Candle as a gift with it. Just add a little tag (you can find charming images of Aphrodite, Cupid, angels, etc. and then instruct how to use it.)

Thanks for the recipe and photo!
