Practicing yoga allows you to bring your attention to your body’s emotional and internal well-being, something that is often overlooked in our fast-paced lifestyle. It gives us the chance to look inward and see how each pose effects our thoughts and actions in each moment. By doing so, we are able to restore balance to the seven chakras.
Every pose, meditation and breath work is designed to assist in balancing the chakras. After moving energy throughout your body during a yoga class, you’re chakras are more receptive to receiving the healing properties of crystals. Using crystals for chakra cleansing will enhance your yoga practice by bringing more harmony and healing to your energy body.
During your yoga class, lay the stones around your mat to allow the energy of the crystals to begin working with your chakras as you move. Then use this chakra cleansing grid on your body during savasana. Even if you don’t practice yoga, you can do this chakra meditation simply by lying on your back and placing the stones in the formation on your body.
- 1 chakra healing bag or 7 chakra stones
- 2 Selenite Cleansing Stone or Selenite Cleansing Crystal
- 2 Shungite stones
- 4 Quartz Crystal Points
Place the quartz crystal points around each side of the mat, at the four directions. During your yoga practice, you can keep the two shungite stones on either side of the quartz at the base of the mat, the chakra crystals along either side, and the selenite along the top edge. During savasana, lay the chakra crystals over your 7 chakras. Place the 2 Shungite stones on the outsides of your feet, and hold the two Selenite crystals in your hands. Use these crystals for chakra balancing to promote the flow of energy from your root chakra to your crown chakra. Working with your chakras will give you a better understanding of your body, emotions, patterns and beliefs that are helping or hindering your spiritual growth.
Once you feel you have gained a better understanding of which chakras may be blocked or why, remove the chakra crystals and journal about what you gained from the meditation. Repeat this exercise, ideally for 21 days for a set amount of time. The key is commitment and consistency. Keep these crystals for yoga in your mat bag and connect with their energy each time you practice.
