Years ago, I read the book, The Secret, and it expanded my mind to a new level. Recently, I picked up Rhonda Byrne’s book, The Magic, which is a sequel to The Secret. In a nutshell, this book is about a 28-day journey that “opens up the magic for a new world for you and brings you joy for your entire existence.”
Wow, joy for an entire existence; I could use some of that.
The book comes down to 3 magical words that if applied into your everyday life, will CHANGE your life for the better.
The first magic word is GRATITUDE.
Gratitude operates through a universal law, which governs your whole life. The deeper the gratitude you feel is, the more you will receive.
The last two MAGIC words are THANK YOU.
One tool she suggests is to start a daily journal, where each morning you make a list of 10 blessings you are grateful for, in your life, and why. After you read each one you say thank you, thank you, thank you, aloud.
Here is the formula:
1. I am so happy and grateful for ___________ because ___________.
Then say aloud, (3x) Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
On March 25th, 2013 I started my Gratitude & Thank You journal, as I was curious if this would really work. I promised myself I would try the program for 28 days to see what happened. I had nothing to lose, as it was only a 5 to 10 minute commitment each morning. As with anything in life, you never know if something really works for you unless you try it!
And guess what? It works. It really works.
54 days later, I am still writing in my Gratitude & Thank You journal and will continue to do so, because I believe it truly works. I am finding as my level of gratitude and thankfulness rise, my life is dramatically improving, just like magic.
This is a simple tool that renders huge results.
