Cleanse your Soul with Sage - 03/08/2011
Entry by Heather Askinosie
I went hiking this weekend and picked some fresh sage. Every now and then when I want to give myself a cleansing bath, I always add some sprigs to the bath water to feel fresh and clear. As I was looking at the sage I decided to add some to a bowl and boil some sage and water. I let the sage simmer and brew for about 20 minutes. It added a nice aroma to my house. After the water was completely cool I gathered my crystals from around the house and placed them in the sage water several at a time for a few minutes each. I then rinsed them off with purified water and each one glistened and shined. The larger crystals that could fit in the bowl with the sage water I let sit longer (10 to 15 minutes) and then rinsed them off. They looked beautiful, full of sparkle and life. I often sage my stones and my environment but the sage water took it to a new level. I encourage you to try it. You can use either fresh or dried sage the choice is yours. The amount to brew is also your choice ( I used a large bundle). Make sure that the water is 100% cool so not to crack a crystal. See and feel the crystals afterwards they will have different stories and wisdom to share when you hold them….... and listen.
