Bring the Energy of the Sea into your home… - 03/30/2011

Last week I went to one of my favorite floral shops, Growing Wild in Manhattan Beach California, owned by two twin sisters Lisa Gallien and Lee Bacos. The minute I walked through the door my body and energy shifted. I felt energized, inspired and in complete awe of the creativity that flourished throughout the shop.
Sea shells, mermaids, bamboo, drift wood, succulents and beautiful flowers filled the space. I felt as if I was in an underwater wonderland. I noticed they had succulents displayed in large clams, something about it sucked me in. I heard that it was good to place succulents around your front door to protect the entrance of the house. However, as I looked at the beautiful succulents I kept receiving the message that they are able to suck up the energy in an environment that is stuck or stagnant. The clam shell represents the flow of positive energy and fluidity of the sea. The combo of the succulent and the seashell is powerful energy. One sucks and absorbs the unwanted energy while the shell keeps the positive energy moving and flowing. I love the combo of the sea and the green together. I have a new respect for the soft leaved succulent and am slowly adding them to the inside of my home to absorb stuck energy. If you are ever in the Southern California area you must treat yourself and stop into Growing Wild. It’s not just a floral shop but a magical experience.
